MERMAID NORWAY ENTERS INTO NEW AGREEMENT WITH COLOR LINE A/S

The Norwegian subsidiary of Mermaid, Mermaid Norway A/S, has entered into a three-year “Software-as-a-Service” agreement with Color Line A/S. The contract also includes a service agreement.

More than four million people a year use Color Line’s international ferry routes, carrying them to seven different ports placed in Norway, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

Mermaid has supplied and now manages an advanced digital signage system including approximately one thousand screens placed on the Color Line ferries and on land.

The screens are located in the public sector, retail shops, by cash registers, in restaurants and bars, and near check-in areas and waiting areas, and they are able to communicate both commercial and informative messages.

The agreement involves a system containing features useful within the transport sector, for instance GPS content control, satellite communication, a dynamic positioning map of the ferries’ whereabouts etc.

As part of the takeover of HeadlineTV in January 2011, Mermaid became part of an already established agreement with Color Line A/S.

The new agreement with Color line is in line with Mermaid’s increased focus on the transport sector.
